As member of the Directors’ Institute of Finland you are part of the broadest and most diverse network of board directors and corporate governance expertise in the country, and you have the opportunity to further develop your professional skills and knowledge of corporate governance and non-executive board responsibilities. Membership can be applied for by individuals who possess the requisite knowledge and experience of corporate governance and board level assignments in a public listed company or other large or medium-sized company. Individuals who possess other professional experience relating to corporate governance and best practices can also be eligible. Applicants must be recommended by two members of the association. Applications are dealt with at the board meetings of the association. Each individual new member will be charged an admission fee in addition to an annual membership fee.
Membership fees are set each year by the Annual Meeting of the association. The admission fee for 2015 is €250, and the annual membership fee is € 330.
The Finnish tax authority accepts both the admission and membership fees as tax deductible for individuals who are actively involved as non-executive board members.
